Belkin’s new TunePower for iPod video keeps your videos and tunes playing even when the internal battery is drained. Giving you up to six hours of additional video playtime*, this rechargeable battery pack lets you finish your movie and catch up on the shows you missed last week. The TunePower for iPod video will ship in North America in late March 2006.
The iPod video allows for approximately two hours of video viewing, which may not be enough to last until you reach your iPod dock. TunePower will give you this extra time so you can watch your videos, making it ideal for long flights, hikes, or for anytime you do not have access to an AC outlet. Two sleeves are included to fit the 30GB and 60GB iPod video devices. It features a protective case design to prevent dirt, dust, or impact from damaging the connector.
An AC adapter is included for simultaneous charging and playing. The TunePower also features a small and compact design with a low-level power indicator so you can monitor when batteries are low.
*Performance may vary based on Apple® iPod firmware version in use.

Think Secret says its coming, so is it? A new video iPod with a 4" display.
"Apple’s forthcoming "true" video iPod will feature a 4-inch display with a quarter-inch border, allowing the device to maintain dimensions typical of previous iPods, further sources have confirmed. Think Secret first broke word of the upcoming touch-screen iPod in early February.
That initial report pegged the new iPod’s display at 3.5-inches, but reliable sources say that after considering both 3.5-inch and 4-inch prototypes, Apple has settled on the larger iteration for production.
The new iPod remains on track for an announcement possibly as soon as late March or early April but sources caution the roll-out could be pushed back pending an agreement with the movie industry on distributing feature-length content. Apple is said to be looking to launch the first movie content for sale on the iTunes Music Store in tandem with the new video iPod, capitalizing on the joint publicity each would garner while offering a clear incentive for early adopters to purchase the new iPod."

Just read this at Engadgetmobile.com and found it interesting.
There is a company developing a new nano paint called Natural Nano that blocks cell phone signals while still allowing emeregency broadcast frequencies.
The idea would be to paint this in places such as movie theaters so that people can’t make or take phone calls during a movie, annoying the rest of the audiance.
I think it is a good idea. Too bad it has to come to them painting builings instead of people just being considerate and at least turning the phone to silent.

Well, ok, to be fair its not called the iTie, but it is a Tie that is designed to be with your iPod Nano.
Sort of like the idea of the iShirt, the iPod Tie holds your iPod Nano behind the tie so you do not see it, but it is always close at hand.
A neat idea for the business iPod users. But at a price of $95 it is quite expensive. I think I would rather have my iPod in its own case and go and buy a normal priced tie with more color’s to choose from.
You can find the Commuter Tie here:

A tshirt with a magnet to latch on to the iPod Shuffle to complete the iShirt phrase. Great thinking, but silly in my opinion. I am sure it’ll sell well though with these iPod cultists.
Here are the FAQs for this shirt!
I see that the iShirt clasp is magnetic. Will this make a problem for my iPod shuffle?
Tomi Responds:
The magnetic clasp system has been tested extensively with the iPod shuffle. Since the shuffle uses solid state flash memory it is unaffected by magnetic fields.
Can the iShirt be used with the iPod Mini or standard iPod?
Tomi Responds:
No! It will only work with the iPod Shuffle. The magnetic clasp may damage the hard drives in the iPod Mini or standard iPod.
How can I wash the iShirt?
Tomi Responds:
The clasp is removable so you can wash the shirt. Care instructions are included with the iShirt.

Feel like downsizing from your bulky old iPod to a sleek new Nano but have a bunch of accessories you won’t be able to use? This is a common problem as Apple rarely stays with the same connections for long, leaving iPod owners in the unenviable position of buying all new accessories every time we upgrade. ULink has solved the problem by creating an interface for all of the microphones, remote controls, etc. that worked with your old 3G or 4G iPod. The uLink device plugs into the bottom of the Nano and the accessories then plug into it. Your accessories are given new life without you having to spend a bundle. The uLink costs only $29, which is much less than the cost of repurchasing even one accessory in most cases.
I think this device is a great idea. I have been holding off on getting a Nano because I wouldn’t have been able to use my Belkin microphone or my Apple Remote with it, but now it is no longer an issue. Rock on!
