MusicJam - for your iPod

This was an interesting add on for your iPod that I saw at Krunker today.  It is a  new mixing and recording device for the Apple iPod called the MusicJam and looks pretty cool ? I think its a little pricey at $229 but I imagine a little searching on the net might well produce prices that are a little more reasonable.

Turn your iPod into your own band.  Play backing tracks or songs and sing along. We add an echo effect to your voice to make it sound like you are on stage! Includes a high-quality microphone, cables, AC adapter, and microphone stand clamp. We even include an electric guitar input?the MusicJam has a guitar preamp with Tone and Distortion controls. The MusicJam has a sophisticated circuit design with very low noise and superior sound quality that may be used for public performances and recording via standard RCA jacks on the side.

Zune > iPod?

Matt Miller weighs in on the Zune?.

So after a couple weeks of using the Zune, it may not be perfect and it may not be the product many people were hyping it up to be upon initial release, but it is a solid device with some good features and I am pleased with my purchase. I think most of the issues are software related that can easily be updated by Microsoft. The iPod is also a nice product, but I am looking for something more durable and scratch resistant that supports an unlimited music subscription service and a larger display for video.

Read the entire article here : 3 weeks later and the Zune is better than the iPod

I have used the heck out of my Zune as well and while the Zune isn?t all that it was hyped up to be, its a nice device. Most of the hype was from people that wanted to see the iPod fall anyhow. Like I said, the Zune isn?t perfect, but its a great Gen 1 start. Onward with production Microsoft.

As far as Wal-Mart Zune sales is concerned? My local Wal-Mart has sold about 1/2 of the 30-40 that were there opening day. I stopped by to check for a pink #/100 version. One of our readers sent her experience buying a Zune that resulted in addition Wal-Mart sales that day, its a funny story : Zune Power at Wal-Mart.

In addition to the great read, Matt added a list of some of the Zune Hacks that have made it out there already, I have stolen Matt?s list and present it here to you

iPod + Nike = Tracking/Stalking Device?

Well, it was almost too good to be true. The new Nike+ iPod exercise monitoring device that interfaces with the newer iPods has a major flaw, many online sites and news networks are reporting. According to University of Washington researchers, there is a security flaw in the new RFID-powered device from Nike and Apple that make it easy for tech-savvy stalkers, thieves and corporations to track user movements. While this may sound very-Big Brotherish, and somewhat remote at the same time, it is nice to be informed of this apparent weakness. So far there have been no comments from either Nike nor Apple. It will be nice to see what their spin on this is. Stay tuned, I am sure there will be more to follow.
