I don?t use cases much anymore, but most of you do. There is a whole discussion going down on cases now in the forums in fact. I ran into a couple companies showing some new cases at CES I wanted to tell you about. One of them I have worked with a lot in the past and the other is one I plan to work with in the future. Both make some good looking cases depending on your needs.
Fortte Cases was showing a ton of custom, hip looking cases. The ones that caught my eye immediately were these below.
The two on the left are of their brand new Excalibur/T-mobile Dash case. This nice looking case has a detatchable flip cover so you can carry it two different ways. They also have a whole line up of clips for different tastes. The snazzy yellow case is one for the Microsoft Zune. Ignore my photography, I am horrible without my tripod, but look below the glass in the Zune case photo. That?s a lot of cases for you there!
Now for the heavy duty users? Otterbox. Otterboxes are not just cases you seal your device in, run it over with a car and then throw in the lake in more. These that I was shown at CES have function in addition to protection.

Notice the Case for the iPod Nano, the wheel can be used. There is a rubber barrier that keeps moisture out! The other cases designed for certain models have real keys that line up with the device to allow use in the case. These are some innovative cases!
There were some other cool cases too, but these were my favorites. Another company, Body Glove, was showing off some cases too! There was a problem though, the boneheads at the booth were running cameras off. I didn?t complain, but they were worried about reverse engineering. Seriously, that?s what she said. Silly. Stick to surf gear for all I care!
